Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner!

So I just had the best weekend ever.

It started off with a concert extravaganza with Robin Spielberg, which you can read about HERE.

And then immediately following, I flew to Hollywood, California to attend the Indie Music Channel Awards Ceremony.  I went, because I was nominated for three awards... Best Instrumental Song, Best Female Instrumental Artist, and Album of the Year.  My friend Matt and I attended, and my mom drove in from Arizona to come support me as well.

The awards ceremony was a lot of fun.  It was at a concert venue called Whiskey a GoGo, and there were live performances, really cool people, and lots of trophies to be awarded.  Christopher Ewing is the fantastic guy who runs all of this and we independent musicians are so grateful to him for providing a platform for our music to be recognized.

There were 24 genre categories, and over 200 awards handed out that evening.

The best part of the whole night though... I WON!!!  I won for Best Instrumental Song, AND I won an honorary "Best New Female Artist Of The Year" award for being new to the Indie Music Channel.

That was a nice surprise.  You can see all the winners HERE.

he rest of my trip to CA was spent playing in the ocean and visiting my family that I only get to see once or twice a year.  We laughed and giggled and had so much fun!!!

California is such a fantastic place to visit.  My heart is full.  I am feeling blessed, and grateful, and humbled, and honored.  So many exciting things have been happening this year, and I am excited to see what comes next.
